My Lush Haul

Over the weekend, I was in Orlando and I went to the Lush store at the Florida Mall. It was my first time at Lush… of course I went crazy because I saw too many youtubers showing off their Lush. This is what I got Figs and Leaves soap, Sexy peel [hubby loved this one], Honey I washed the kids [of course], Porridge soap, Sultana of soap, Ice blue [hubby loved this one too]. I also got Buffy, fresh farmacy face soap and a sample of the vanishing cream [came in a small black jar], i also asked for free samples of the tea tree oil toner [cause it burned my hand when tried it], and the rub rub rub scrub. and i also got a free gift of a massage bar forgot its name.. but its for sore muscles …

so far i’ve tried ice blue and sexy peel, and loved them. I will post a full review in a few days.. after i’ve used both a few times..

When times get tough, don´t be surprised if you feel a heaviness trying to overwhelm you. Don´t be surprised if you hear negative thoughts telling you, “It´s never going to work out. Things are never going to get better. It´s over. It´s done.” When those thoughts come, remember, you have a choice–you don´t have to believe those lies. You don´t have to get on board with your emotions.

In the Bible, David encountered many difficult situations. That spirit of heaviness tried to steal his destiny. He got depressed and discouraged, but do you know what he did? He started talking to himself. He said, “Why are you cast down, oh my soul? Put your hope in the Lord.” He was saying, “David, snap out of it! Why are you discouraged? Why have you lost your joy? God is still on the throne, and He still has good things in store.” When that heaviness tries to come on you, do what David did. As you put your trust in the Lord and praise Him, He´ll give you His strength and empower you to overcome every obstacle you may face!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father in heaven, thank You for the strength to overcome the difficult times. I choose to shake off the spirit of heaviness by praising and worshiping You. I bless You today and always. In Jesus´ Name. Amen.

Lime and Brick look

So i tried this look out a few sunday’s ago and decided i’ll post the look. I wore a simple shalwar which had red, green and brown on it. this is the look i came up with. I can’t remember the name of the colors used but they were all nyx shadows..actually they are from the pearl mania collection..

I have 10 Mac Pigments. I have 6 full size and the Mac Christmas collection 08. I took pictures and swatches for you. The swatches are without any base. I love my pigments… they last all day especially when you use a base.

NYX Update

Now I know i haven’t updated this in ages.. i’ve been so busy but i’ve decided to start back blogging so yayyy..

Just a quick update with the NYX kit info. when i received my kit, i did not get the gift nor did i get the tester 1 palette for the trio. I had to call them to find out what went on then i was told that the tester palette was not available and they would ship it out to me when it was available. I thought it wasn’t too nice they should have called and told me this rather than I had to call and do it myself.

I placed on first order in March.. the 17th actually on the 23rd I received a call to confirm my order and I confirmed my payment also. Sometime early in April i realise that my order had not arrived, so i called nyx and after leaving about two to three messages I finally got through with customer service and asked what happen. The girl told me that they were awaiting confirmation from me with my order and that they called me and i had not return their call. I told her what had happen previously and I had emails with the dates because when i confirmed the shipment they sent me an email, she was shocked. She told me that the order will be shipped out and that they wont charge me for shipping.. soo yayyyy..

I did get myorder but the tester palettes were in mess they have been falling out and making a mess i had to glue them down one by one…

Another thing is that a rep can also get testers for certain products at 75% off i think that is awesome. So, I’m building my kit and its not putting a hole in my wallet. I’m happy overall with my products and so are my customers so i’m happy.

However, with their 50% off sale I didn’t even bother to take orders because ppl are able to get tonnes.. some shadows were even 75% also with lippie products.

I heard they are getting rid of certain products, I would like to know if they will be updating reps with the new items and allowing us to get testers. ….

NYX update: January 15, 2009

Well yesterday I got a call from NYX, this time I did not speak with Rosemary, but with Monica [i think]. She told me she was calling to verify my info and was told that my Credit Card will be charged and the package will be shipped out today. Well I checked my credit card and I have not been charged yet. I was told it would take 4-5 days to reach me. I’ll still extremely excited. I will keep checking my credit card to see when they charge me and I will post an update.

Today’s Word from Joel and Victoria

Oftentimes, people set their focus on what God has done in the past—how He parted the Red Sea or stopped the sun for Joshua or fed thousands of people with just a little boy’s small lunch. Yes, God has performed many amazing miracles throughout history, and it’s important that we give Him praise and glory, but at the same time, we also have to look forward to what God wants to do in our lives today. In this verse, Paul says that “in the ages to come” God would do things that far supersede anything He’s ever done before. I believe that the “ages to come” that he’s talking about is this day and time we’re living in right now. God wants to outdo Himself in our generation! Remember, God is a God of increase. Where you are today is not where you are supposed to stay. He has greater levels of His favor and blessing in store for you. Dare to dream big! Dare to keep a God-sized vision in front of you! Dare to take hold of every blessing that the Lord has in store for you!

Are you living in the fullness of His blessing? God’s blessing is His supernatural empowerment. It is His favor.
